Brought up in New York City, the daughter of an Art Dealer and Painter, Jenny Krasner has pursued a variety of artistic endeavors. Beginning at age 3 with mud, sand and finger paint,  her passion developed into welded steel sculptures, digital photographic composites, mixed media assemblage and performance art employing innovative conceptual, visual and technological styles. Photographing throughout America, Europe and Asia, Krasner brings a diverse global and stylistic perspective as an educator and creator. The recent Recipient of a 4 month residency fellowship at The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, China, Krasner was also appointed as a committee member on the College Art Associations Services to Artists Committee 2012-2015. Exhibitions include: The Bronx Museum, The Jersey City Museum, The Trenton Museum, Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters, NURTUREart, Oxford University and The American Academy in Rome.  Krasner is the recipient of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Grant, The J.B. Moore Scholarship for Fine Art and the Trinity College, Oxford University Scholarship to Italy. She is featured in the New York Foundation for the Arts “Business of Art” website, The New Orleans Review and recently exhibited at the Ian Peck Gallery on Madison Avenue and the Tomasulo Gallery at Cranford College. Krasner received an M.F.A. from Columbia University, B.F.A. and M.A. from The Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University and B.A. from Hamilton College.  Krasner has lectured and taught at Spelman College, Emory University, Pratt and The Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta and Savannah. Krasner lives and works in New York City.
